Zane

A young man whose life has been marked by hardship and abandonment. With his father leaving the family, Zane is left to support his mother and two sisters, struggling to find hope amidst the chaos. Overwhelmed by his circumstances, Zane discovers a new passion in basketball and a renewed faith in God. As he navigates the challenges of life, Zane's journey is one of resilience, growth, and the profound impact of finding solace in faith and sports.

Allie

Allie, Zane's younger sister, is a beacon of positivity and hope within the family. Despite the challenges they face, Allie always looks on the bright side and dreams of a better future for them all. Her cheerful demeanor and unwavering optimism provide much-needed support and encouragement to Zane, reminding him of the strength and resilience that comes from family love.

Kaelynn

Introducing Kaelynn, Zane’s youngest sister, who holds a special place in their family’s story. Nostalgic for the days when their family was whole, Kaelynn often reflects on the happier times of their past. As the narrator at key moments, she provides a an insightful view of their journey. Her hope for a better future and her dreams of seeing their lives transform add depth to their story, capturing the emotional essence of their struggle and triumphs.

Coach Ming Han

Ming Han is more than just a basketball coach; he is a mentor, a father figure, and a guiding force in Zane's life. With a tough exterior and a heart of gold, Coach Ming Han sees the potential in Zane and pushes him to reach for greatness. His unwavering belief in discipline, hard work, and faith plays a pivotal role in Zane's journey toward redemption.

Liam, Neo, Jack

Zane’s newfound friends and teammates on the basketball court. These three are more than just basketball buddies; they are the pillars of support and camaraderie in Zane’s journey. Enthusiastic and high-spirited, they push their team to the best while keeping the mood light and fun. Their presence help Zane feel at home and part of something greater.

Becky, Jessica, Natalie

Jessica, Natalie & Becky are spirited cheerleaders who initially have their reservations about Zane joining the basketball team. Cautious about Zane’s impact to the team dynamics, these cheerleaders start to show us that support and understanding can grow from the seeds of uncertainty.

Father

Torn by his own struggles, he chooses to leave, leaving the family with unanswered questions and wounds to heal. His departure is a deeply painful rupture. His influence lingers in both the absence of his voice and the lessons learned through the family's perseverance without him.

Mother

A woman of unshakable resolve, she takes on the weight of the family’s survival with grace and determination. She works tirelessly to ensure her children have opportunities she never had. Her love is a quiet storm—powerful, protective, and unyielding.

Grandma

With a lifetime of experiences etched into her gentle demeanor, the grandmother is the steadying presence that often goes unnoticed but is always felt. She supports without fanfare, a whispered prayer here, a soothing word there, always present in times of need. Her wisdom is drawn from years of observation and enduring challenges of her own.

A Crescendo of Hope was inspired by the story of one of our students. It tells the message of incredible resilience and unwavering faith found within our community. As the principal of The Seed Resource Centre, I am immensely proud of our students, staff and parents who have poured their hearts into this production. This musical is not just a performance; it is a reflection of our commitment to nurturing the talents and spirits of our young people, guiding them to discover hope and strength through their faith and passions.

Working with the talented students and dedicated staff has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Their passion, creativity, and commitment have brought this story to life in ways we could have only imagined. Each rehearsal and performance has been a testament to their hard work and devotion.

    Are food and drinks allowed in the theatre?

    No, food and drinks are strictly not allowed in the theatre.

    PJPAC has a no latecomer policy, so we strongly advise you to arrive at PJPAC at least 30 minutes before the show.

    Yes, kids are allowed. However, they must have their own tickets for entry. No lapseating are allowed.

    Videography or photography of any kind is NOT allowed.

    There is no refund, exchange, upgrade, or cancellation once ticket(s) are sold.
